Description
This edition does not include a dutch guide and transfer from Zanzibar airport – Nungwi and the other way around. All diving activities and Pemba airport pickup are already arranged by experienced local guides.
A 12-day marine expedition across Pemba and Zanzibar — blending diving, coral restoration, freediving and community impact.
Zanzibar’s reefs are changing fast. Rising ocean temperatures have pushed entire coral systems into repeated bleaching events, leaving parts of the ecosystem fragile and exposed. Yet among the damaged patches, pockets of resilience remain — areas where coral still holds on, and where recovery is possible if the right support reaches them in time.
This expedition takes you into that reality.
Over 12 days you’ll dive the reefs Zanzibar and Pemba, work alongside local conservation teams on coral-nursery maintenance, learn freediving as a way to experience the ocean in its quietest form.
Not as a tourist, but as part of a small, intentional group entering a place that’s changing.
This journey is for travellers who want depth, meaning and impact.
A cinematic coastline, vulnerable reefs, community-led conservation, and the space to reconnect with the ocean, breath by breath.
